KRIPALU YOGA
Meditation in Motion
Kripalu Yoga is a unique way
to integrate body, mind, and spirit through opening to the wisdom
of your body. The body is used as a doorway through which we focus
our awareness and by which our body's inborn potential for well-being
is unleashed. Through breathwork, postures and relaxation, we can
rejuvenate and re-balance all the bodily systems: endocrine, nervous,
muscular, skeletal, immune, circulatory, and digestive.
ZEN YOGA
This style of yoga emphasizes healing through
movement. It is the discipline of bringing the body to a balanced
state by using a wide variety of body postures, breathing exercises,
massage and Buddhist meditation.
There are three ways in which Zen Yoga affects the body:
~Rhythmical repetition of movements develops awareness of the body
in motion
~Holding poses deeply effects internal organs
~Energetic exercises help aid the body in attaining a balanced circulation
of energy
Correct and full breathing is essential to
good health. It energizes and invigorates the body while also helping
to calm the mind.
Zen Yoga uses body movement to promote deeper and fuller respiration
and helps to develop a better awareness of correct breathing.
